Chapter Meeting @ Peegos

All H.O.G. members should have gotten HD’s newest promotion offer to spend 300.00 & get a nice BBQ set from Harley Davidson.

New Member: Steve Dutton: He owns a Road King and has been riding for seven years. He lives in Omena.

June 13^th – 20^th LaConia, NH celebrates bike week. A few chapter members are planning on going. The list will be on the website if anyone would like to join the group to ride out there.

June 26^th & 27^th - Club H.O.G. OKC in Oklahoma City, OK. One person from the Chapter can be in the parade of flags.

The first two Euchre parties were a huge success. The Brown’s are hosting the last one of the winter season on 3/28/09 – please RSVP.

The pool tournament in February was well attended. Larry Elliot took 1^st place and John Ockert took 2^nd.

Thanks went out to Rhonda Elliot for doing such a great job sending out the weekly blast of current events scheduled.

The April 2^nd Chapter meeting will be held at the newly remodeled Father Fred building on Hastings Street at 7: 00pm. They will give us all a tour. Please bring a dessert to share.

POT is coming up in Milwaukee at the end of March. Lew Kirchner & Mike O’Connor have plans to attend.

Representatives from the MDA organization came to our February Chapter meeting to promote the June All Points ride to Houghton Lake to raise funds for MDA. For more information see the website.

Activities for the month: Dinners 3/12 Bootleggers, 3/21 Wilderness Crossing, 3/26 Peninsula Grill, 3/28 Euchre @ the Brown’s

Sherry Purkiss: A Father Fred planning meeting will be held at 6:00 pm before the 3/17 business meeting @ South City Limits.

Lew Kirchner: Presently we have approx. 50% less in renewals for Chapter members compared to last year.

Mike O’Connor: He & Lew attended a meeting in Lansing to discuss the Roar to Shore event & the Michigan State rally in Lansing.

They will need volunteers for both events; Mike will have more information later. The website for the state rally is: mistatehogrally.com.

The preliminary planning meeting for the bid to get the state rally in TC in 2010 has come to a decision to propose venues in TC and not some nearby city. Shanty Creek was one good option, but it was determined that we would like to keep it right here in TC.

Cris Lake is sending birthday cards via e-mail to the members.

This weekend Peegos hosts an Antique snowmobile weekend. Starts @ 8:00am with breakfast, come out and join the fun.
