January 2008 Chapter Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm by the New Director – Vicki Beam.

Vicki announced the entertainment for the 105^th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee in August will be Kid Rock and Aerosmith. Tickets go on sale March 12^th @ 9:00 am. Each H.O.G. member can purchase up to 25 tickets. It was suggested that we find out how many want to go and purchase them all at once. The web-site is: members.hog.com to purchase the tickets.

New Members were introduced: Jim & Pam Valrance, they ride an Ultra Classic.

Awards were passed out from the Salvation Army for members that assisted with the food drive in November of 2007.

New & returning officers were introduced for the 2008 year and asked to say a few words if they wished:

Assistant Director & Safety Director ~ Mike O’Connor (Mike is doing dual duties)

Secretary ~ Sherry Purkiss

Treasurer ~ Lew Kirchner; we are in good shape with our funds.

Activities Officer ~ Jim Beam; a 2008 Ride & Have Fun Survey was passed out. All Members were encouraged to fill this out and return to Jim. This is your way to express your views on what you would like to see for activities for the year.

Activities on the calendar so far;

Friday 1/11/08 tubing at Mt. Holiday 6:00 – 7:00 pm / $12.00 per person, then dinner at Bay View Inn in Acme @ 7:30pm.

Saturday 1/19/08 Euchre Tournament @ Mike O’Connor’s – 7:00 pm.

Friday 1/25/08 dinner @ 7:00 pm Red Mesa

Friday 2/1/08 dinner @ 7:00pm Freshwater Lodge

Sunday 2/3/08 Super Bowl Party @ John & Deb Emanuel’s – time to be announced.

Saturday 2/16/08 Annual Rag’s Pool Tournament @ 2:00 pm Timberlanes.

Friday 2/22/08 dinner @ 7:00 pm Bubba’s

Saturday 3/1/08 Euchre Tournament @ Steve Purkiss’s – 7:00 pm

New Member Liaison/Membership Officer ~ Eric Fisher: Membership dues are due for 2008.

LOH ~ Lori Vandermeulen: Activities planned so far:

Tuesday 2/5/08 dinner @ 5:45pm Jonathon B Pub, and movie afterwards.

Saturday 3/2/08 Massage’s either ½ hour or 1 hour @ Living Light Massage, email Lori to reserve time.

Saturday 4/19/08 Wine Tasting Tour from 1-5pm (email Lori to reserve)

Head Road Captain ~ Brian Zionskowski: Brian encourages anyone with new ideas to step forward or bring it to his attention. A magnet sensor for changing stop lights was brought in, he will do more research.

Editor ~ Sherry Jones: the newsletter will be out soon. Sherry needs are help to make a great newsletter, send articles and pictures when you have them.
