Welcome new guests:

Sue Nelis here to promote East Jordon’s Lady Biker weekend Aug 7^th& 8^th.

Sally Sanders a photographer/ friend of Steve Szasz.

Note cards were passed out to members asking them to give us stories on “What was your spark?” These stories will be shared in future newsletters.

A memento from the PTO trip in Las Vegas was brought back for Dick Rusas and presented to him.

Brimley is scheduled for next weekend. Jon Stewart has a room to share, and the Beam’s will not be able to attend, so their room is available if anyone is looking to go up to Brimley.

Chapter meetings are always scheduled to start close to 7:00pm, members are encouraged to come early to socialize and eat.

The Milwaukee trip in August: if anyone has a room and they are unable to attend, please contact Vicki first, before canceling the reservation. We have a few members on a list wanting rooms.

Bottles of wine were passed out to the hosts of the Progressive dinner that was held in May. The collected monies will be divided and given out evenly this year.

Thank You for responding to the email survey last month. Jim got several back, and if you would like to still respond, email Vicki or Jim.

The reception room for the Roar to Shore event that is at GT Resort & Spa 6/6&7^th is open to all members both nights. This is put on by the Michigan Harley dealers. The poker run will take place on Saturday out in Leelanau County.

Advanced rider course is 6/8 and 10 Chapter members have signed up for it.

August 9^th is the tentative date for the Chapter picnic; would anyone like to organize games for it?

Million Mile Monday 6/30 – The Geezers will meet for breakfast @ 8:30am at Dilbert’s restaurant. They plan on riding 338 miles, and being back in time for the night ride.

Sue Nelis spoke about the up coming East Jordon lady biker ride that supports kids with cancer. This event is planned for 8/7&8^th and all proceeds go to Camp Quality for kids here in Michigan. She will be selling raffle tickets after the meeting.

Mark spoke about the Celebration of Life ride planned for 6/28 that will take in 83 miles of Leelanau County and end up in Frankfort for brats and Hamburg’s at the park. The cost is 25.00 for the ride,

Activity pins were passed out to all members that earned them by participating in 12 events so far held by the chapter.

June 8^th depending on weather the ride to Gaylord to join their chapter meeting begins at 10:00 am at Classic.

Vicki Beam went over activities that are on the calendar for June and July.

7/6 line dancing @ Wild Pony/ 7/27 ladies only ride, destination to be announced.

Sherry P/ Secretary:

Updated the current status of the Father Fred event, Tara was unable to attend the meeting.

Eric F/membership officer:

Last call for ordering t-shirts, will not pursue this any further. He has enough to order the name tags, that order will be placed. Culvers restaurant in Cadillac is doing a promotion for free ice cream on Wednesday’s from 5-8pm for anyone that would like to ride there.

Sherry O’Connor/Editor:

Mis-print in the newsletter, the party for Char & Lew Kirchner is going to be 1-4pm on 6/29 at the Cuppa Joe’s on Garland Street. Please RSVP.

Brian Z/ Head Road Captain:

Spacing has become an issue; he will be stressing this at all meetings, with the hope of correcting the problem. Hand signals will also be stressed to get all members doing them correctly. Million Mile Monday night ride; be ready to do 100 miles, and then dinner afterwards.
